Rods
Push from behind the panel. You control the pressure, and you feel it when you push too far.
The paintless dent repair simulator
Read the line board, pick the right rod or glue tab, and push dents out without touching the paint. Learn the craft step by step, practice on endless dents, and grow a home garage into your own dent shop.
The same dent type and seed always makes the same dent, so you can share it.
Made for everyone who loves PDR
A crumpled door, a line board, a technician working from behind the panel until the reflection runs perfectly straight. PDR Simulator puts the tools in your hands: read the board, choose your tool, push, check, push again, and watch the dent disappear without touching the factory paint.
Every ring that shrinks and every stripe that snaps straight is yours. No skipping ahead to the reveal: you read it, you push it, you watch it come up.
Practice reading the board and working in the right order: edges before the center, small pushes, knock down your highs. Make the expensive mistakes here, not on a customer's car.
Overpush and you get a high, rush and you crack the paint, and aluminum won't forgive you. Show your apprentice how it's done, or see how fast you can clear the board.
Start with a budget kit in your home garage. Take jobs, get paid for quality, upgrade your tools, keep up with the bills and move into bigger, better shops.
The main skill
Just like the real thing, the line board's stripes reflect in the paint and bend around the damage. Reading that pattern is the main skill of the game, and it gets sharper the more you play.
Drag the slider and watch the same spot go from high to deep low.
Real tools, real technique
From rods behind the panel to a full glue-pull setup, every tool works the way a technician uses it, and every one can make things worse in the wrong hands.
Push from behind the panel. You control the pressure, and you feel it when you push too far.
Taps down the highs you made. Light, precise strikes, one at a time.
Clean, glue the tab, let it cure, pull with a mini lifter or slide hammer, release with isopropyl.
For cold paint and plastic bumpers. Warm the panel so it moves instead of cracking.
Get access. Pop the clips and trim off to reach the back of the dent.
Glue pulling, start to finish
Learn it step by step
Every lesson is a real repair on the bench. Then practice on free-play dents as often as you like.
Rods, knockdowns, glue tabs, lifters, slide hammer, heat gun and trim tools: what each one does and when to reach for it.
Mild steel, high-strength steel, aluminum and plastic. Same dent, four different ways to get it wrong.
Dings, creases, large soft dents, hail, body lines and braces. Learn the order of work for each.
A technician demonstrates the move on the same dent, then hands the tools back to you.
A dent for every day
Every job is a new combination of damage, panel, metal, paint and weather, so there's always another dent waiting.
From the garage to your own shop
A budget kit, flickering lights and a cold floor. Everyone starts somewhere.
Pick jobs from the board or turn them down, beat the clock, and get paid for the quality of your work. Picky owners tip for perfection; cheap ones haggle.
Upgrade to pro and master tools, service them before they wear out, keep up with rent and bills, and move into bigger, better shops.
Example jobs for illustration. In the game the board fills itself every day.
Hall of Fame
Every shop that chooses to share its numbers lands on two public boards at pdrsimulator.com, and the very best garages can be visited from inside the game.
The boards fill up as soon as the game is out. Your shop could be the first name here.

Wishlist on SteamPDR Simulator is a game. It's great practice for reading the board and thinking through a repair, but it doesn't replace hands-on training with real tools on real panels.
Questions
Paintless dent repair: pushing dents out from behind the panel, or pulling them with glue tabs, so the factory paint never needs touching. Technicians read the dent in the reflection of a striped line board.
No. The training course starts from zero, with a "Show me" button in every lesson. Arcade mode gives the metal a helping hand while you learn.
The line board reflection and the metal behavior are simulated, not animated, so highs, stretch and cracked paint come from what you actually did. It's still a game, and feedback from real technicians is very welcome: get in touch.
No. It's great practice for reading the board and thinking through a repair, but it doesn't replace hands-on training with real tools on real panels.
The How to play page covers the repair loop, every tool, the career and the decorating editor.
Shops that share their scores appear on two boards: the overall repair score (the average over every repair, from 50 repairs up) and the richest shop. Sharing is off until you turn it on in the game, and you can turn it off again at any time. See the Hall of Fame.
